Deborah Gordon pumped in a career-high 21 points and the Lady Jackets took advantage of a quick start to deal Central State a 78-66 setback on its home floor.
Cedarville bolted to a 15-4 lead in the opening eight minutes which was sparked by three baskets from
Lauryn Robinson along with a trey by
Kaysie Brittenham.
Raegan Ryan netted eight points during a 10-2 spurt to close the first half for a 43-26 bulge.
Gordon scored the Lady Jackets' first nine points of the second period. The scoreboard blinked 62-41 with 12:45 to go following a run of eight consecutive points and CU maintained command to improve to 11-6 overall.
Robinson finished with a career-high 12 points off the bench.
Kayla Jenerette had 11 points with seven rebounds and six assists. Ryan chipped in 10 points and Gordon pulled down seven boards.
Deborah Chandler added a game-high and career-high 11 rebounds.
The Jackets converted 21-of-28 free throws and produced a 50-38 rebounding edge. Central State falls to 9-7.
