Derek Hostetter
Hostetter repeats as NAIA scholar
CEDARVILLE, Ohio (5-15-2008) - Yellow Jacket senior Derek Hostetter has been selected an NAIA Scholar-Athlete in men's tennis for the second year in a row.
Hostetter, a Dean's Honor List student from Oxford, Pa., graduated in May from Cedarville University with a pre-seminary Bible degree. He won 44 singles matches during his four-year tennis career.
NAIA Scholar-Athletes are juniors and seniors who maintain a minimum 3.50 cumulative grade point average. [NAIA SCHOLAR-ATHLETES pdf]

Kevin Furst
Four CU players receive NCCAA awards
CEDARVILLE, Ohio (5-13-2008) - Kevin Furst was named to the NCCAA All-America First Team in singles and doubles to headline Cedarville's selections for the 2008 men's tennis campaign.
Furst, a junior from Appleton, Wis., played in the #1 singles position the entire season and paired with Dan Ballard at #1 doubles. Ballard, a senior from Huntington, Ind., was voted to the All-America Second Team in singles after competing in the #2 spot.
Brent Martin, a senior from South Charleston, Ohio, was the Jackets' #3 singles player and was chosen to the All-America Second Team. Derek Hostetter, a senior from Oxford, Pa. repeated as an NCCAA Scholar-Athlete. [NCCAA MEN'S TENNIS AWARDS]

AMC honors three Yellow Jackets
CEDARVILLE, Ohio (5-12-2008) - Three Yellow Jackets have been recognized by the American Mideast Conference for honors following the 2008 men's tennis season.
Kevin Furst, a junior from Appleton, Wis., and Dan Ballard, a senior from Huntington, Ind., were voted to the All-AMC Team in singles. Furst played in the #1 spot while Ballard held down the #2 position.
